Wine Walking Tour (90 minutes):

Our wine walking tour combines exceptional wine enjoyment with the unique atmosphere of our historic wine cellar. At several stops throughout the approximately 30,000-square-meter vaulted cellar dating back to 1380, you’ll taste selected wines and learn fascinating facts about the Mosel, Saar, and Ruwer wine regions, the distinctive characteristics of great Rieslings, and the allure of premium sparkling wines.

Each station offers new perspectives on our wines and their origins, set against the impressive backdrop of one of the region’s largest historic wine cellars. A delightful journey of discovery for anyone who wants to experience wine with all their senses.

Taste and Talk (60 minutes):

A relaxed introduction to the world of wine.

How is wine actually made? What does “quality wine” mean? Why does a Riesling from the Moselle taste different from a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand? At Taste and Talk, we’ll explore the world of wine together—in a casual, interactive way, with a selection of exciting wines. Instead of a lecture, the focus is on tasting, sharing ideas, and your own tasting experiences. Perfect for wine beginners, the curious, and anyone who wants to learn more while enjoying a glass of wine.

Wine Cellar Tour (60 minutes):

Experience history. Understand wine.

Discover the fascinating history of our winery on a guided tour through one of the region’s largest historic wine cellars. After a sparkling wine reception, explore the approximately 30,000-square-meter vaulted cellar, whose origins date back to 1380.

Learn interesting facts about the development of viticulture along the Moselle, Saar, and Ruwer rivers, the cellar’s impressive architecture, and the winemaking process. Take a look behind the scenes of wine production and experience how tradition, craftsmanship, and history have been intertwined for centuries.

Premium Walking Wine Tasting (approx. 2 hours):

Exclusive wines. A unique atmosphere.

During this two-hour walking wine tasting, you’ll not only enjoy an unforgettable architectural experience but also discover exceptional wines that capture the essence of the region. We’ll present and discuss a wine pairing featuring a select sparkling wine and six high-quality wines, including a Pinot Blanc, a Pinot Noir “Großes Gewächs,” a dry “Réserve,” a “Großes Gewächs” Riesling, a classic “Kabinett,” and a Riesling “Auslese” from legendary steep slopes. In addition, you’ll get a firsthand feel for the unique character and secrets of our cellar and gain insight into the art of winemaking in one of Europe’s oldest wine cellars.

Guided Wine Tasting (60 minutes):

Enjoy wine. Taste its origins.

Discover the diversity of our wines during a guided tasting. In a relaxed atmosphere, you’ll sample a selection of distinctive wines and learn interesting facts about their origins, grape varieties, aging, and the unique characteristics of the Mosel, Saar, and Ruwer wine regions.

We’ll guide you through the tasting, offer insights into our philosophy, and show how climate, soil, and craftsmanship shape the character of each wine. Whether it’s Riesling, Burgundy varieties, or sparkling wines, every tasting offers exciting flavor experiences and interesting stories about our wines.
