Graacher Himmelreich
A little closer to heaven
The character site in Graach: The promising name Graacher Himmelreich stands for great growths with elegance, power and potential. Due to the topography of the south-southwest facing steep slopes, the Himmelreich is optimally protected from wind and frost. In addition, the slate soil, which retains heat, guarantees a regular and complete ripening of the grapes. Veins of water ensure that the vines are always optimally supplied throughout the year.
The majestic steep slope produces clear and delicate wines. The heavily weathered dark clay slate with fine soil on rocky subsoil shapes a distinctive character - multifaceted, powerful and yet charming and silky. A wonderfully balanced interplay of spice, fine acidity, tangy fruit and minerality promises divine pleasure. The citrus and peach notes are undeniably fragrant. If the wines are given a little time to mature, even more elegance and mineral finesse appear - a little closer to the kingdom of heaven.
